What to Expect at Your First Visit
At Black Hills Area Dental, our focus is on you, our patient. Everyone in the practice always has your care, comfort, and safety as the highest priority. When You Arrive
When you arrive at our office, you will be greeted by our friendly and highly proficient front desk personnel. They will walk you through the check-in process smoothly and help eliminate any stresses you may have when going to the dentist.
Our front desk personnel are trained and highly skilled in dental insurance and will always work with you to help maximize your dental benefits as well as, help you navigate and understand your dental insurance coverage better.
If you do have dental insurance and you have never been to our office, please remember to bring your dental insurance information to help our team complete insurance claims on your behalf.
When first visiting us, we encourage you to arrive 15 minutes early to complete your new patient paperwork or bring it with you by printing out and completing our forms beforehand.

When it comes time for your appointment, Dr. Samuelson with his assistants and our hygiene team will be providing treatment in an environment that makes sure you are comfortable, relaxed, and safe. Checking Out
Before leaving our office, we’ll be sure that you’re educated on the state of your dental health, and will provide you with our recommendations while you’re at home on how to properly take care of your oral cavity. Our goal is to make sure that you feel confident in your dental home care approach to maintain your overall health, and to continue showing off a smile you are proud off.
