Dr. Jeri Scranton graduated from the University Of Nebraska College Of Dentistry in 1991. From there she completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in 1992. Since then, she has practiced in Rapid City.
Dr. Jeri Scranton DDS is a member of the American Dental Association, South Dakota Dental Association, and Black Hills District Dental Society. She served as BHDDS president for the 2003-2004 year. She also serves on the Children’s Dental Health Committee, and Legislative Committee. Jeri received the Young Dentist of the Year award in 2004. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Scranton has been a member of the Siouxland Dental Study Club since 2004.
Dr. Scranton and Dr. Samuelson attend countless hours of continuing education to keep current on the latest trends in dentistry and what benefits they can offer their patients.
Dr. Scranton is actively involved in the community of Rapid City as well as the local dental community.
Dr. Scranton is a member of the American Dental Association, South Dakota Dental Association and Black Hills District Dental Society. She belongs to the Pierre Fauchard Society, and was inducted into the International college of Dentists in 2010. She served as Black Hills District President, served on the SODA Board of Trustees and has served on the SODA Legislative Committee numerous times. She received the Young Dentist of the Year award in 2004. She headed up the Children’s Dental Health Committee for many years and has participated in the Donated Dental Program since 1998.
In the Community, she served on the United Way Board for 3 years. She is a member of the American Association of University Women and served in many capacities over the years. She participated in two dental missions sponsored by ServingHim to Moldova and Romania.
Dr. Scranton grew up in Valentine NE. She has lived in Rapid City since 1992 and considers this her home. She has lots of family in South Dakota and considers it her roots.
Dr. Scranton is happily married to Keith, who is a Professor at the SD School of Mines and Technology. Together they share a blended family with grown children and two grandchildren. They have a sweet dog named Gracie that shares their every day.
Dr. Scranton and her husband love the Black Hills. They enjoy mountain biking, kayaking and hiking. They are also avid scuba divers and travel to warm destinations to see the oceans and its wonders whenever they can get away.
Dr. Scranton loves to cook and bake. When time allows she also Is a clog dancer and likes to dabble in sewing. Dr. Scranton feels honored to have served her patients for 26 years and hopes to be able to care for them for many years to come I
